The Department teaches managerial disciplines in undergraduate and graduate study in the full-time and external form of study. The starting point for all subjects of the Department is Management which is taught as a compulsory subject for the whole University of Economics in Bratislava. A set of courses of the Department respects the system approach to management in terms of function, decision-making and information. The courses provide students with not only the essential knowledge and factual knowledge, but also the emphasis is put on the development of practical management skills. Almost all of the subjects taught by the Department deal with the management of the company, regardless of the industry sector and size classification.
The Department of Management is involved in the education of economists and business managers at all levels of study programs - Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral study programs.
The Department has a rich scientific activity. The Department participates in the tasks of the projects such as VEGA, KEGA, Visegrad Fund and projects of young scientists APVV. The results are presented at the scientific conferences of the UE in Bratislava and its faculties, the scientific conferences abroad, in national and foreign magazines and it is used in teaching, as well as in setting up specialized literature.
