As part of the National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic to Support Mobility, a new call for scholarship applications has been announced for study, research, and lecturing stays during the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
The scholarships are intended for students and doctoral candidates at Slovak universities (even if the doctoral program is conducted at an external educational institution as defined by the Higher Education Act, e.g., at the Slovak Academy of Sciences) and postdoctoral researchers working at Slovak universities and research organizations (e.g., the Slovak Academy of Sciences) who are permanent residents of Slovakia, to cover living expenses for a study and/or research/artistic stay during the second cycle of higher education (master’s/engineering/doctoral studies), a study and/or research/artistic stay during doctoral studies, or a research stay for postdoctoral researchers at a selected foreign university or research organization. Students, doctoral candidates, and postdoctoral researchers may, along with their application for a scholarship under the NŠP, also apply for a travel grant in connection with their planned study and/or research/artistic stay abroad.
The deadline for submitting applications is October 31, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., and the stays may take place during the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Scholarship applications can currently be submitted online at www.stipendia.sk or www.scholarships.sk.
