Study Management at the Faculty of Business Management

The faculty provides accredited education in English at all 3 levels of university studies – Bachelor's, Masters’ and Doctoral.

At the undergraduate level, the faculty offers Bachelor’s study program Business Economics and management:

A graduate of the bachelor's degree is qualified to hold professional economic positions in the business sphere, managerial positions at lower and middle levels of management, which require basic knowledge of the economic context of business activity, supplemented by the main aspects of financial and overall economic, managerial and information literacy. The acquired economic and entrepreneurial competence is predestined for the field of self-employment and in the development of small (family) business. 

At the graduate level, the faculty offers Master’s study program General Management:

 

The graduate of the study program "GeneralManagement” acquires comprehensive knowledge of management disciplines, which decisively create him and predispose him to work in management positions across the entire organizational structure of the enterprise. Students will develop general knowledge during their studies by choosing a secondary specialty in the field of personnel management. Significant qualitative progress is achieved by the graduate in the field of managerial, financial and information literacy, which allows for better management of complex economic situations and tasks in the real, but also online space.  

Since 2016, the study program has also been taught in English. The program has double degree agreements with EM Strasbourg, VŠE in Prague, and the Business School of the Ningbo University. 

The curricula of the study programs provides the future graduate with sufficient flexibility and freedom in the use of academic mobility and internship stays, which underlines the internationalization of studies as well as the transfer and use of the latest knowledge. Flexible transfer of credits, ensured by the comparability of studies with recognized universities, allows the student to develop international language and intercultural communication skills, build valuable networks and work experience.

 

Other activities of the faculty aimed at improving the quality of the pedagogical process:

  • harmonization of study programs with comparable study programs abroad, 
  • building and developing partnerships with relevant institutions and organizations of economic practice,
  • innovation of forms and methods of education in line with technological progress,
  • modernization of the faculty environment and communication platform,
  • a wide range of subjects taught in foreign languages,
  • possibility to complete a study stay and a professional internship for students abroad within the framework of the ERASMUS +, CEEPUS, and other mobility programs,
  • award of the best students in the field of study and scientific research – Dean's Award, Platinum Fund,
  • linking the activities of the Faculty Alumni Club (ALUMNI) with the pedagogical process.
