The University of Economics in Bratislava, represented by its rector, Prof. Ing. Ferdinand Daňo, PhD, and Bratislava Water Company, a.s., represented by its chairman of the board of directors, Ing. Ladislav Kizak, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of education and scientific research activities.
Representing the University of Economics in Bratislava at the signing of the memorandum were the university’s rector, Prof. Ing. Ferdinand Daňo, PhD; the vice-rector for development, culture, and sports, Ing. Jakub Kintler, PhD; and the dean of the Faculty of Business Management, Assoc. Prof. Ing. Anita Romanová, PhD.
The goal of the memorandum is to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world, primarily for the benefit of students. Students at the Faculty of Business Management will be able to participate in real-world projects at BVS, gain hands-on experience working on specific tasks, and acquire skills that are difficult to simulate in an academic setting.
“Our mutual cooperation will not only enrich the educational process but also strengthen the connection between the academic world and the professional world, which is key to preparing students for their future professional challenges,” stated Ladislav Kizak, CEO of BVS.
The aim of the memorandum is to provide mutual expert consultations and discussions and to create conditions for the professional training of full-time students. Those present agreed to establish active and stable conditions for implementing the various areas of cooperation outlined in the Memorandum of Cooperation.
