After a year, again in May, we were pleased to meet with colleagues and students from Hochschule Burgerland, University of Applied Sciences, to jointly address the issue of ESG.

In the meeting room next to the Aula, 20 students and 2 teachers of the Human Resource Management study program attended a lecture and discussion on CSR and Sustainability Reporting as part of a 2-day excursion Austria → Slovakia → Hungary → Austria. The content was the issue of CSR as a successful practical application from corporate CSR strategy to detailed reporting. The students were introduced to forms of alternative systems of ESG institutionalization in EU and non-EU companies, as pillars of the economy for sustainable development at both the micro and macro levels.

The positive aspects of this form of education chosen are:

⃰ an attractive combination of theory and practice, i.e. knowledge acquired at the home university, comparison with the material at another university, and primarily practical verification of acquired knowledge and skills in cooperating visited companies,

⃰ internationalization of relations between two renowned universities, their students and teachers, and also support of excellent neighborly relations

⃰ appreciation of the quality of ESG and CSR education at the FBM EU in Bratislava (ESG leader within Slovak universities)

⃰ development of loyalty, friendship, cooperation and goodwill for the development of sustainability for the future.

On behalf of the FBM at the EU in Bratislava, this attractive and inspiring lecture on ESG, CSR and sustainability reporting in EU and non-EU companies was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dipl. Ing. Mgr. Gabriela Dubcová, PhD., within the projects VEGA 1/0120/25 Research on paradigms and determinants of ESG management and implementation processes in the context of required financial performance of companies and changes resulting from CSRD and VEGA 1/0462/23 Circular economy in the context of social requirements and market constraints.

Thank you for the trust and support of the erudition in the field of ESG, CSR and sustainability reporting at FBM EUBA. We look forward to further joint activities and cooperation in the scientific and educational fields of both universities in the future and mutual sustainable development for the benefit of students and fellow educators.
