Bratislava, December 22, 2025 – The Slovak real estate market is marking a historic milestone. The Faculty of Business Management at the University of Economics in Bratislava has received accreditation for its professionally oriented bachelor’s degree program in “Real Estate Management,” offered in both full-time and part-time formats.
Accreditation was granted by the EUBA Quality Council, and the Ministry of Education, Research, Development, and Youth of the Slovak Republic entered the study program into the register of study programs.
This is the first university program of its kind in Slovakia to systematically train professionals for the real estate market—a sector in which, according to Eurostat, more than 27,000 people are employed, yet which until now lacked its own academic foundation.
“The accreditation of this program is a crucial step for the entire industry. Higher education in the field of real estate is finally gaining a firm foothold in the academic environment,” said Assoc. Prof. Ing. Anita Romanová, PhD., Dean of the EUBA Faculty of Business Management.
The program was developed in close collaboration with the National Association of Real Estate Agencies of Slovakia (NARKS), which has been working for more than 30 years to professionalize the real estate market, improve the quality of services, and build public trust.
“This is a huge step forward for the real estate community. After decades during which professionals were trained primarily through on-the-job experience and short courses, a full-fledged academic program focused directly on real estate is now being introduced,” said Ján Palenčár, president of NARKS.
The Real Estate Management program will integrate economics, law, finance, development, and property management with practical experience. The application process for the program is expected to begin no later than February 1, 2026.
The Slovak real estate market is thus entering a new phase—one in which expertise, education, and professionalism will play a key role.
