From 5 to 11 September 2026, five students from the Faculty of Business Management of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) travelled to Lucerne, Switzerland, to take part in COEUR 22 — the Europreneurship Innovation Week, hosted by the Business & Hotel Management School (BHMS).

Nominated by Assoc. Prof. Jana Blštáková, Vice-Dean for International Relations, our university was represented by Andrea Tabačková, Kateryna Rozinková, Annamaria Kupková, Ingrid Korytiaková and Agatha Hudeková, who joined students from partner universities across Europe for a week built around this year's theme: "From Arenas to Algorithms — The Event Innovation Challenge." Working in international teams, participants explored how technology is transforming sports and event experiences and developed original business ideas around it.

A week of cooperation, ideas and pitching

The programme followed a clear structure — Cooperate, Open, Evaluate, Unite, Report — guiding teams from initial brainstorming through value proposition design, market and customer definition, and idea testing, all the way to a final pitch in front of an international jury. Along the way, students attended expert presentations and inspiration sessions on design thinking, service marketing, pitching and value generation, and received coaching through several rounds of idea checkups.

Beyond the workshop room

The week also included plenty of opportunities to explore Switzerland and build lasting connections: a welcome tour of Lucerne, an intercultural evening where national teams presented their countries and regions, a visit to the EHC Olten ice hockey stadium, a picnic and sightseeing trip, and a scavenger hunt through the city. The programme closed with final presentations to the jury, an award ceremony and a farewell party.

Certificates and new connections

All five EUBA students successfully completed the programme and received their COEUR 22 Participation Certificates. Beyond the professional and academic outcomes, the week gave them the chance to build a genuine European network — working alongside peers, coaches and faculty representatives from partner institutions across the continent.

We congratulate our students on their participation and thank the COEUR partner network and BHMS for hosting another successful edition of the Europreneurship Innovation Week. We look forward to continued cooperation and to nominating EUBA students for future editions.
