The defence of the doctoral thesis is the end of the doctoral studies. Graduates of doctoral studies are awarded the academic title "doktor" ("philosophiae doctor", abbreviated as "PhD."), which is indicated after their name.
The number and structure of opponents of the dissertation thesis shall be determined by the departmental committee of the relevant field of study in accordance with the internal regulation of the UE in Bratislava "Principles of the Organisation of Doctoral Studies at the University of Economics in Bratislava", as amended from time to time.
